The project team of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, comprising representatives of the World Bank and consultants from IntegradtedTransportPlanning, visited the port of Odessa. This is reported by the AMPU.
It is noted that the visit was carried out within the framework of the program of technical assistance provided by the IBRD to Ukraine at the request of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Odessa City Council.
The purpose of the visit was to familiarize with the existing problems of interaction between the port and the city, as well as to collect the necessary data for the implementation of the project.
"Experts were interested in the prospects for changing the scheme of customs screening, the possibility of investing in creating an alternative entry to the port, improving the efficiency of the port's interaction with freight forwarders, carriers, cargo owners through the wider use of IP technologies," the message says..
