A group of passengers of the river cruise in Europe was in an unpleasant situation after their liner set sail without them. The incident occurred in November 2023 during a stop in the German city of Nuremberg. Bussines Insider recalls this story.

One of the passengers who traveled with his sister said that they went on an excursion, organized directly by a cruise company. However, on the way back to the port, the bus fell into a serious traffic jam, which is why a group of 20 people arrived at the pier late for 30 minutes.

To their shock when they drove up, the ship has already begun movement. Many passengers panicked, not knowing what to do. Fortunately, one of the tourists guessed to call the ship’s registration rack using the number indicated in their route. The ship was nearby and returned for the remaining passengers.

Later it turned out that the error occurred due to the lining in the registration system. On that day, passengers had to transfer to a new ship, since their previous liner could not go under the bridge. However, the tourist group has not yet registered on a new ship and has not received new identification badges. In addition, the local guide, who accompanied the group, suddenly left the bus before he got into the cork, because of which the crew did not receive a timely notice of delay.

Tourists admitted that they experienced real stress, but made an important conclusion: it is better to always book excursions directly through a cruise company and keep the contact information of the ship with them. After all, if it were an excursion of a third -party company, the liner would not be obliged to wait or return.
