Cyber \u200b\u200bscammers have stepped up their efforts to scam Ukrainians and are now offering them 6,500 hryvnia from US President-elect Donald Trump.. The politician himself would probably be surprised if he heard this, because he himself did not allocate any money for Ukraine.

This was reported by the Center for Combating Disinformation (CDC) of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. Fake advertisements are distributed, in particular, by various channels in the Telegram messenger.

They say that even before the inauguration, Donald Trump announced a “payment for all Ukrainians”, which will be available after January 20. And to receive funds, you only need to fill out a form in the social program and indicate where the funds should go.

“Another case of clickbait with fake news about the alleged “payment of 6,500 UAH to Ukrainians from Donald Trump” is being recorded online.. There are no official statements or programs for payments to Ukrainians from the newly elected US President Donald Trump,” the Central Bank noted..

The center explains that scammers come up with such misinformation to increase reach and attract new audiences.

It was also reported about a scheme to deceive Ukrainians who want to obtain support. Fraudsters create fake websites and accounts where they offer to process “state” payments. After that, they ask you to follow a link and enter your bank card details, which they use to debit funds from the card.. To protect yourself, you should not enter your card number, PIN code, Internet banking login and password, one-time passwords or SMS on suspicious sites..
