Two Russian servicemen suspected of robbing apartments in Irpin, Kyiv region, turned out to be natives of Kherson and Donetsk regions and have already been prosecuted for committing property crimes. According to the National Police, in 2014 they became members of an illegal armed group and committed crimes in the occupied territories of Donetsk region and Crimea.
As the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine points out, they are suspected of violating the laws and customs of war, as well as participating in armed groups not provided for by law, which led to deaths or other grave consequences.. Under the first of these two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, suspects face up to 12 years in prison, under the second - from 10 to 15 years in prison. They are wanted.
