The Solano County fire, which was part of a massive California wildfire last year, began with an attempt to cover up the murder of 32-year-old Priscilla Castro.. The offender was detained, he is accused of arson and the death of two more people who died in the fire, writes CNN.

County Sheriff Tom Ferrari said Castro's remains were found at the site where the fire started on August 18, 2020. A month later, police arrested 29-year-old Victor Cerriteno on suspicion of her murder and deliberate arson of the crime scene..

The investigation lasted eight months. Detectives have established that Priscilla went on a date with Castro two days before the start of the fire. After that, no one saw her.. Details of the crime were not disclosed. Cerriteno's trial due to begin this week.
