Specialists of the Rescue Service warn citizens against hiking in the mountains during the avalanche danger declaration. So, during March 20 - 21 in the middle mountains of Lviv, in the high mountains of the Transcarpathian and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, a significant avalanche danger will remain (level 3). Mountain search and rescue units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine continue to carry out preventive measures, search and rescue operations at tourist sites in mountainous areas.

Yesterday, March 19, at about 12:00, the soldiers of the mountain search and rescue department of the village of Pylypets in Transcarpathia helped a 36-year-old resident of Kiev who came to ride on Mount Gemba. Unfortunately, one of the descents was unsuccessful for him - the man fell and injured his knee. Rescuers provided the victim with first aid, the victim refused further hospitalization.

“In order to prevent dangerous accidents involving tourists and to promptly provide assistance to victims in the mountains, the State Emergency Service emphasizes the importance of citizens registering their travels.! "

Lifeguards emphasize that when going on a camping trip, follow these tips:.

be sure to inform your loved ones and friends about the route and the expected return time from the hike, or better - register your mountain trip at rescue posts;

avoid hiking alone.

The minimum recommended number of participants in the tourist group is at least three people;

make sure your equipment meets the requirements of the hike. Bring enough food and water with you, as well as the necessary clothing;

inquire about terrain conditions and weather forecasts;

be sure to bring verified tourist cards with you.
