Illegal planting was discovered in a forest belt near Osnovyansky Lake on August 14, policemen of the Office for Combating Drug Crimes, together with investigators of the Osnovyansky Police Department, during the development of the territory and a complex of operational and preventive measures. On this fact, criminal proceedings were initiated under h. 2 st. 310 (sowing or cultivation of sleeping poppy or hemp) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The confiscated drugs were sent for expert research. Measures are being taken to identify persons involved in the commission of a criminal offense.
