Ukrainian physician worked in Libya as a private person. He went to the call of a patient in the city of Segba, which was not under the control of government troops, as a result of which he was taken hostage by one of the local armed groups.

"The liberation was due to the agreements reached by Ukrainian diplomats during negotiations with the militants," reads the official notification of the Foreign Ministry.

The Ukrainian authorities ask all Ukrainians to leave urgently the territory of the country because of the difficulty of settling such issues by diplomatic means.

Recall that in Libya at the moment is a civil war, which continues since the overthrow of the regime of Gaddafi.

As reported in URA-Inform, the son of the ex-head of Libya, Seif al-Islam Gaddafi, intends to participate in the presidential elections.
