According to the agency, as a result of the operation of the power transmission line protection system, the settlements in six areas were de-energized.

The most affected were such settlements: in the Kiev region - 79, in Cherkassy - 36, in Zhitomir - 20, in Chernigov - 8, in Sumy - 3 and one in Lugansk.

It is noteworthy that brigades of oblenergos were involved in the restoration of electricity supply to populated areas.

As previously reported in URA-Inform, as a result of complications of weather conditions, 537 settlements in Ukraine were de-energized. Strong snowfalls and wind caused the activation of the power line protection system.
