In Crimea found an important "boss" of the occupiers hanged

The so-called head of the department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the temporarily occupied Crimea and Sevastopol, Timofei Kuraev, was found dead in his apartment. This is reported by LIGA with reference to Kommersant.

"According to the preliminary version of the investigation, he committed suicide: sources in law enforcement agencies told that on the night of Wednesday Kuraev was found hanged," the report says..

Kuraev led the OFAS after the annexation of Crimea in July 2014. Before that he worked in the internal affairs bodies.

On 20 September the commander of the airborne troops of the Russian Federation Andrei Serdyukov, who led a special operation to seize the Crimea in the spring of 2014, got into an accident in the Murmansk region.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine officially declared February 20, 2014 the beginning of the temporary occupation of Crimea and Sevastopol by Russia. Key international organizations, including the UN General Assembly, condemned Russia's actions and called the annexation and occupation of the Crimea illegal. Against the Russian Federation, economic sanctions were introduced. For the conduct of Moscow's so-called elections involving the Crimea in 2016, the Ukrainian parliament declared the State Duma illegitimate.
