A heavy downpour with a hurricane wind created serious problems in a number of districts of the Georgian capital and its environs. The city was flooded, which limited the movement of transport.

Local mass media report that in the central part of the Georgian capital, as well as in the Samgori and Isani districts, the Varketili settlements covered the roads, cellars and the first floors of the houses. Now, brigades of the Agency for Emergency Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia are working at the scene of the incident, who have already started pumping the water from the flooded buildings.

The disaster also created problems on the roads. On the motorway in the direction of Rustavi in ??the Ponichala area, as well as on the road leading to Kakheti, in the area of ??the village of Gombori, landslides.

On several sites because of a strong wind, the trees torn from the roots fell on cars in which, fortunately, no one was.

However, according to local authorities, the hurricane damaged 110-kilovolt power line in the city of Rustavi.

At the moment, most of one of the major industrial centers of the country, there is no light.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, on the night of Tuesday, June 27, in the south of the Khmelnytsky region, a powerful hurricane. The disaster was accompanied by a strong wind, rain and hail in places. As a result of unfavorable weather conditions, 35 settlements were de-energized in the region, 18 transmission lines of 10 kV were damaged and dozens of trees were felled.
