At the same time, deputy head of the department of procedural leadership of the GPU Alexander Tsilyurik on the news channel NewsOne reported that the searches are carried out because of the theft of a large amount of enterprise funds.

"A search is conducted to fix a criminal offense relating to embezzlement of PAO funds in especially large amounts. One of the leaders of the locomotive farm is suspicious, however, since it is absent, the report of suspicion was transferred to one of the board members, "said Tsilyurik.

According to the representative of the GPU, in the criminal proceedings are being investigated the theft of hundreds of millions of hryvnia, and within the said announced suspicion, the amount of UAH 12 million.

"In the episode on which suspicion was put forward, it was purchased, with the assistance of the said head, from the legal entity products of inadequate quality that could not be used to repair the rolling stock," said Tsilyurik.

The deputy head of the department of the GPU specified that these purchases were carried out in 2015-2016.
