On the morning of February 1, in the Piryatin of the Poltava region, an unknown person committed an armed attack on a soldier of the Poltava district territorial center for recruitment and social support (RTCS and SP). At the gas station, a man in a balaclava, armed with a hunting rifle, demanded that the military give him an automatic.

When he refused, the attacker shot at the TCC employee: the soldier died on the spot, and the killer disappeared with the weapon and one of the mobilized, whom the deceased accompanied - both were already detained.
