An ex-official of a medical university who fictitiously enrolled foreigners in training will be tried in Kyiv. With the help of the attacker, the “students”, paying $1,800, received legal grounds to stay on the territory of Ukraine for 4-5 years.

According to law enforcement officers, the attacker, while serving as an adviser to the head of one of the capital’s medical universities, for $1,800 helped foreign migrants fictitiously become students at one of the international universities in Kyiv.

" According to this scheme, foreigners had the opportunity to legally stay on the territory of Ukraine for 4-5 years without studying at a university.

In September last year, law enforcement officers detained an attacker in his office while receiving unlawful benefits in the amount of 33 thousand hryvnia from one of the future “students,” the press service recalled.

Then the attacker was informed of suspicion under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, in particular, of facilitating the illegal transportation of persons across the state border. The investigation into these facts has been completed, and the indictment has been sent to court.. The suspect was dismissed from his position.
