The Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Office of the Prosecutor General, the State Tax Service and the State Financial Monitoring Service have stopped the illegal mechanism for generating tax credits for VAT for entrepreneurs.

After the liquidation of the scheme, the state budget received an additional 9 billion UAH.

The illegal formation of amounts of tax credits for VAT occurred, in particular, due to unauthorized interference in the operation of information and telecommunication systems, which distorted the processing of information.

“We, with the help of the SBU and the Ministry of Digital Transformation, established that the risk monitoring system used in the administration of VAT had a significant and very dangerous error in the operation algorithm. This error did not comply with the current legislation, "

According to him, thanks to this error, fraudsters could imitate their compliance with the criteria for unconditional registration. The system considered them bona fide taxpayers, so their tax bills were not checked for risk.

At the same time, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov said that intensive work to overcome the scheme lasted for the past few months due to the conscientious work of the Security Service of Ukraine, the new leadership of the Ministry of Finance and the STS, which for the first time in the history of Ukraine provided access for a full audit of information systems.

" And today she was completely stopped. We feel this through information campaigns and attacks on the leadership of the Ministry of Finance and on the leadership of the tax and SBU, "

Mikhail Fedorov noted that the sphere of digital transformation is one of the priorities of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

The Ukrainian government will adhere to this course in the future, not only for the introduction of convenient electronic services, but also for the fight against corruption.

In particular, from the next week the state registry in the construction industry will work. In addition, this year it is planned to establish electronic interaction with customs in order to be able to track goods immediately after crossing borders, as well as introduce electronic excise taxes and programmatic cash registers.
