The new US national security strategy provides for the restoration of diplomatic and trade relations with Russia. The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Moscow Region, Kirill Budanov, during an interview with Suspilny, explained that for the United States the main enemy - and this is already official - is China, so Washington considers deepening cooperation between Moscow and Beijing a serious threat to itself.

“We need to somehow try to separate Moscow from Beijing. And in order to tear it off, you have to offer something. So there’s nothing extraordinary here,” the intelligence chief said..

Russia is a state with a large territory and large resources, noted the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate. Despite all this, other European countries deal specifically with Ukraine. But Budanov adds that during past wars they also often contacted, communicated and traded with aggressors, “there is nothing surprising in this situation”.

Remember the Second World War, when the first two years - this is also an unpleasant fact, but still - the United States traded with Nazi Germany,” said the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, adding that for Ukraine this is painful, but for the world as a whole it is normal practice.

Earlier, Budanov said that during meetings the United States and Russia are discussing joint development of the Arctic shelf. The founder and executive director of Razom We Stand, Svetlana Romanko, and the director of the B4Ukraine Coalition, Nezir Sinani, said that Russia’s export of liquefied natural gas from the Arctic is one of the last financial arteries that supports the war machine.

Therefore, experts are calling on the G7 to shut it down, because not a single gram of Russian gas from there would reach global markets without Western shipping, insurance, financing and classification services. And given that the Russian Federation is increasing export volumes, the window for defusing this and other climate bombs is quickly closing.
