European ambassadors agreed on the 19th package of sanctions against the Russian Federation for the war against Ukraine. This was reported by Brussels correspondent for Radio Liberty Rikard Jozwiak on the social network X. \! The 19th package since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine,” the journalist wrote. According to media reports, this package should include: a ban on the import of liquefied natural gas from Russia from January 2027 - a year earlier than previously planned; sanctions against Russian banks, financial institutions in Central Asia and several crypto exchanges (help with circumventing sanctions); trade restrictions against Chinese and Indian companies; ban on the export of goods worth more than 40 billion. Euro (minerals, ceramics and rubber); more than 100 more tankers of the shadow oil fleet.

As is known, for several weeks the agreement was blocked by Austria, Hungary and Slovakia. Austria tried to achieve unfreezing of the assets of Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska in order to compensate for the losses of Raiffeisen Bank in Russia. The demand did not receive support; Vienna subsequently lifted the block. Hungary promised not to block the 19th package of EU sanctions against Russia.
