Over the three years of stay, Ukrainian refugees contributed to the growth of Poland GDP by more than 320 billion zlotys (about $ 85 billion at the current NBU rate), while Poland’s expenses for the aid of Ukraine during the war amounted to only $ 2.3 billion during the war. On Thursday, June 12, reported by the United Nations (UN), citing the report of the Deloitte audit company, which refers to the influence of Ukrainian refugees on the Polish economy.

. In the first year, GDP grew by 1.5%, in 2023 - by 2.2%, and in 2024 - by 2.7%.

.

.

9.2 billion zlotys ($ 2.3 billion) - for humanitarian and military assistance to Ukraine;

31.1 billion zlotys - for refugee support programs.

Total expenses amounted to 40.3 billion. zloty, or approximately 10 billion. dollars.

. Thus, income from the presence of Ukrainians exceeded expenses by 8.5 times. In 2024 alone, the economic effect reached $ 25 billion - this amount completely covers expenses in all three years.

.

2022 - an increase of 2% (+25 billion zlotys), 2023 - by 2.75% (+39.1 billion), 2024 - by 2.94% (+47 billion).

Deloitte experts explain this effect by the fact that Ukrainians are actively working, pay taxes and social contributions, and also bring money to the country.

Earlier it was reported that in Germany, 43% of Ukrainian refugees found work in Germany.

Recall that the Federal Council of Switzerland announced new measures to simplify the employment of citizens of Ukraine who were forced to leave the country due to war.
