The head of the presidential office Andrei Ermak said that the United States of America did not bring any peaceful plan to the Munich Security Conference at the end of the war in Ukraine. Such a plan does not exist at all.
Ermak said about this on the broadcast of the telemarathon on Friday evening, February 14. He emphasized that it would be strange if there was some plan, because there could not be a plan that is not agreed with Ukraine.
" I think that we will now work in daily mode for the plan to appear, ”said Yermak.
He confirmed that a good meeting was held with US Vice President Jay Di Di Vensu, US Secretary of State Mark Rubio and special representative in Ukraine and the Russian Federation Kitat Kelllog.
" There was a very subject conversation. The main thing is that the United States is interested in really stopping the war so that this end of the war happens and not just a temporary truce, but a stable world come. They clearly understand that Ukraine needs security guarantees, ”said Yermak.
At the same time, he also emphasized that it is important that the States be on the side of Ukraine, and not between Moscow and Kiev.
" It is important for us that America, as our largest strategic partner, be on our side.
Also, for the plan to be developed jointly with the United States and European partners and primarily provided for strong and effective security guarantees for Ukraine, ”Yermak summed up.
He also noted that President Vladimir Zelensky is ready to meet with Russian dictator Putin, but only when the moment when Ukraine will be ready for such negotiations.
He clarified that under the “readiness” we are talking about a strong position and security guarantees. However, so far this moment has not yet come.
