Last year, North Korea sent thousands of workers to different construction sites throughout Russia. Probably due to the lack of labor among Russians themselves, the number of which is growing against the background of the war against Ukraine.

This was reported by Yonhap News Agency with reference to the data of the National Intelligence Service (NIS) of South Korea. They emphasized that such actions are a clear violation of the UN Security Council against the DPRK.

Documents accepted in response to a test of weapons by Pyongyan forbid the country to send their citizens to work abroad. They also suggest that all North Korean workers had to return to their homeland by December 2019.

Now North Korea and Russia are suspected of using student visas to move labor.

Recently, Radio Free Asia, citing the data of the Federal Statistics Service of the Russian Federation, reported that 13,221 citizens of North Korea entered Russia within 2024, which is about 12 times more than a year earlier.

Among those who got in the Russian Federation last year, 7887 people said, allegedly arrived for educational purposes.

" According to South Korean officials, the DPRK sent about 11,000 military to the western front of the front -line region of Kursk to combat Ukrainian forces, ”the Yonhap agency recalled.
