A Ukraine-NATO center will open in Poland

The idea of \u200b\u200bcreating JATEC was approved at the NATO summit in Washington in June 2024. Although Ukraine is not yet a member of the Alliance, the opening of the joint center became the first official institution to unite Ukraine and NATO.

The project also marks a strategic turn of the alliance from expeditionary missions to prepare for the potential conflict of high intensity with Russia.

At first JATEC will have 70 employees, including 20 Ukrainians.

The center will operate under the leadership of NATO Command Transformation, which is responsible for preparing for future military threats.
