Thus, following approval by the EU Council on 27 January, diplomats, officials and members of their families who hold diplomatic and official passports will be required to obtain visas for short-term trips to the EU for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. .

In addition, some of them, who are under EU sanctions, can hardly count on receiving a visa to EU countries.

The initiative will not affect holders of ordinary Georgian passports. For them they will retain the right of visa -free entry into the EU for short -term trips.

The European Commission explained its position by the repressions of the Georgian authorities against peaceful protesters, politicians and independent media, which began after the Georgian government refused from negotiations on the EU until 2028.

This short message from Jozwiak generated a lot of comments.. What is curious, it was immediately possible to determine who is supported and in what status this or that commentator is located.
