Ukraine plans to join the European Union. Accordingly, this year the Ukrainian delegation to the EU will open negotiation clusters with other countries of the European bloc. Bankova expects to open 5-6 negotiation clusters on the EU, which the Ukrainian leader called an “ambitious goal”.

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky spoke about this in Warsaw, during a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian community in Poland. This topic of conversation was due to the beginning of Poland's presidency of the Council of the EU.

According to the head of state, within six months Ukraine expects to open the first three negotiation clusters on joining the European Union.

“We understand that our Polish colleagues are ready for two, but we will do everything to open three. Then Denmark; we want to open (with her) three more clusters. But we’ll see how it goes,” said Vladimir Zelensky.

He expressed confidence that these six clusters can be opened this year, and the authorities “will try to do it all”.

Also during the meeting, the work of the Ministry of National Unity and, in particular, the creation of Unity Centers in Poland, and then in Germany and the Czech Republic were discussed.

“We must together protect our people and Ukrainian independence by teaching children in the Ukrainian language, using public diplomacy, expanding the Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studios, preserving and disseminating knowledge about Ukraine,” Vladimir Zelensky said on this occasion.

He emphasized that even abroad “we are one people, one nation,” and the main thing is “not to fight within, not against each other.”.

Separately, the head of state spoke about the strengthening of Ukrainian-Polish relations and the development of bilateral cooperation.

On this occasion, the Ukrainian president said that the launch of new communications between Kyiv and Warsaw is already planned.
