The Czech Republic announced its intention to purchase ammunition for Ukraine, including part of the proceeds from frozen Russian assets that are stored in the European Union. The decision was praised within the framework of the joint European initiative and confirms the support of the Czech Republic to Ukraine.

The Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic, Jana Chernokhova, spoke about this, confirming that the European Union has officially confirmed this document. According to Chernokhova, it is possible to provide Ukraine with hundreds of thousands of high-caliber ammunition, which is extremely necessary to support the defense of the country.

Chernokhova also said that the short-term income from Russia’s frozen assets provides a unique opportunity to help Ukraine without negatively impacting the state budgets of European countries. This document demonstrates the trust of allies in the Czech Republic and strengthens its role in other European initiatives with the support of Ukraine.

While the exact quantity of ammunition that the Czech Republic plans to purchase has not been announced, it is clear that they will be transferred to Ukraine in the short term.

This initiative is another example of the EU’s solidarity with Ukraine in the fight against the aggressor.

Thus, the Czech Republic will continue to play a key role in supporting Ukraine, and will benefit from available resources for enhancing the defense of the Ukrainian army. At the same time, this term reflects the preservation of the financial stability of the EU region, which is an important aspect for the troubled Ukrainian region.
