The police detained an attacker who took hostages in one of the pharmacies on the main street of German Karlsruhe and demanded a million euros, according to the Stuttgarter Zeitung.
Special police units stormed the building, as a result of which the hostages were released and the kidnapper was detained. The police operation lasted five hours.. People weren't hurt.
" He didn't get hurt. The injured hostages are also intact.. The police are checking whether the detainee had accomplices,” law enforcement officers said.
According to the publication, the perpetrator was armed with a pistol, there were two hostages.. A few more people were hiding in the back of a pharmacy.
