Russia for several years bypassed the UN embargo and secretly sold weapons to the South Sudanese military. It is reported by Current Time with reference to the report of the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime (GI-TOC).

The investigation says that the Russian state company Rosoboronexport has been secretly and in small batches transporting weapons to South Sudan since at least 2019.. This allowed the company to receive resources and currencies, bypassing Western sanctions and an arms embargo that were introduced in 2018..

GI-TOC sources in the Kenyan customs and military said that the weapons were first shipped by sea to Kenya, where they were then repackaged and delivered to their destination.. The buyer was a company associated with high-ranking South Sudanese military.

In addition to weapons, through the Kenyan port of Mombasa, Russia supplied the southern Sudanese with equipment for mining.

Recall that, according to the Western press, Iran secretly delivers drones to Russia using boats and a state-owned airline.. UAVs are then used in the war against Ukraine.
