The incidence of syphilis has increased sharply in Russia in 2022. This is evidenced by the data of Rosstat, writes The Moscow Times..

According to the results of October (the last available period of statistics), the number of detected cases of syphilis was 38% higher than the figure for the same month last year, and compared to October 2020, it soared by 129%.

Russian statistics recorded a double-digit increase in the incidence of syphilis almost every month of 2022: in July - by 12% compared to July-2021, in June - by 32%, in May - by 84%, in February - by 65%, in January - by 74.

Compared to 2020, the number of new cases has skyrocketed: in August - by 139%, in July - by 147%, in June - by 178%, in May - by 247%.

The incidence of syphilis, according to statistics, is catching up with tuberculosis: more than 2 thousand cases are recorded monthly (against 3.3-3.6 thousand cases of tuberculosis), although two years ago this gap was almost 4-fold.

One of the regions of champions is Moscow, where the incidence is 4.6 times higher than the national average.

“High rates of syphilis incidence were observed in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the Republic of Tyva, St. Petersburg, Amur? , Kaluga? , Tverskoi? and Tomsk? regions (1.3-3.3 times higher than the average for Russia),” the Rosstat report says..

Recall that syphilis is one of the most common diseases in Russian colonies..

On September 14, 2022, a video appeared on the network in which oligarch Yevgeny Prigozhin, close to Vladimir Putin, who also organized the so-called Wagner PMC, personally calls on Russian prisoners to fight in Ukraine.

“Putin’s Chef” Prigozhin recruiting mercenaries for the war in Ukraine in a prison. “In 1/2 a year you go home with a pardon… there’s no way you end up back in prison.

Today, the recruitment of prisoners for the war with Ukraine in Russia has been put on stream.

At the end of December, the representative of the US National Security Council, John Kirby, estimated the number of Wagners in Ukraine at 50,000 people, of which 40,000 were recruited prisoners..
