" Both leaders agreed that it is necessary to continue the process of normalizing relations, discussions will resume in the coming days,"

According to him, both President Vucic and the head of the Kosovo government Kurti agree that there are no alternatives to dialogue in solving the problems of the region..

Recall that relations between Serbia and Kosovo became more complicated after, as a sign of protest against the decision of the Kosovo local authorities to ban the entry of cars with Serbian license plates into the territory of the region from August 1 in the Serbian communities of Kosovo, they began to block roads and build barricades.

Subsequently, at the call of the US and the EU, the government of Kosovo postponed for a month the introduction of prohibitive measures against car owners with Serbian numbers and documents issued in Serbia. The barricades were dismantled, but the tension between Serbia and partially recognized Kosovo remained.

Kosovo declared independence from Serbia in 2008, but Serbia still considers Kosovo part of its territory and accuses Pristina of violating the rights of the Serbian minority. Ethnic Serbs make up 5% of Kosovo's 1.8 million population, which is 90% ethnic Albanian.
