Congresswoman Victoria Spartz sent a new letter to US President Joe Biden to draw attention to recent developments in Ukraine, including additional worries around Presidential Office chief Andriy Yermak. She urged the US administration to establish a joint task force at the Department of Defense to implement the agreed strategy on Ukraine, properly oversee critical infrastructure, and streamline the logistics of lethal assistance provided to Ukraine.. The letter was published on the Spartz website.
According to her, the new letter is a continuation of the July 8 appeal to the Biden administration, in which she asked the US administration to “report” to Congress about Andriy Yermak..

Spartz said she was " Congresswoman criticized the delay in the appointment of the head of the SAP, and also mentioned the dismissal of Irina Venediktova from the post of Prosecutor General.
“Under the latest pressure, Kyiv has finally reached the point of appointing Oleksandr Klymenko as the head of the SAPO, whose appointment was hampered for almost two years by Oleg Tatarov, who was appointed by Yermak. Although this process has not yet been completed and requires additional measures from the Prosecutor General. Kyiv also recently fired Irina Venediktova from the post of Prosecutor General. It looks like Yermak may try to appoint a prosecutor general through Zelensky’s parliamentary majority, which could effectively sabotage Klymenko’s work,” the congresswoman wrote..
“Your administration should be keeping a close eye on these issues, as well as ensuring accountability and transparency to Congress: nothing should prevent your administration from publishing which agencies and officials are responsible for allocated funds and listing all entities receiving these funds,” she wrote..
In addition, the congresswoman stated that “an example of abuse of power is the recent issuance of secret orders to revoke Ukrainian citizenship without due process”.
“Last week, Gennady Korban, the head of the city headquarters of the territorial defense of Dnipro, with whom I had a brief meeting in Dnipro, was secretly deprived of citizenship and banned from entering Ukraine,” the congresswoman said..
Also, according to Spartz, one of the issues was raised by a licensed U.S. defense contractor who raised concerns about Ukraine’s deputy defense minister, appointed by Yermak in April, Denis Sharapov..
