Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda said that Ukrainian grain cannot be transported to the Baltic countries through Belarus, Delfi reports.. He noted that the railroad on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border, previously damaged and then repaired for transporting grain, could contribute to a new attack on Ukraine from the territory of Belarus..

" They want to say that the entire infrastructure needs to be put in order, the movement needs to be put in order so that fertilizers move from the territory of Ukraine through Belarus to the Baltic countries - will it not happen that military equipment will move along this well-established infrastructure at some stage of the war in? They should be very careful about such a prospect,” Nauseda told reporters in Krekenava..

According to him, the Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko made it clear that he supports the military aggression of the Russian Federation.. And this means that the transportation of goods through Belarus is out of the question..

“In my opinion, the situation has only worsened recently, and Lukashenka has shown that he is in the same boat as Vladimir Putin in this heinous aggression.. My opinion and assessment do not change – we need to look for other alternatives,” Nauseda said..

The President of Lithuania also does not see the possibility of restoring the transit of Belarusian fertilizers through his country. This is exactly the condition Lukashenka set for the transportation of Ukrainian grain through Belarus.

“The European Union has imposed very clear sanctions on fertilizers, Lithuania has repeated these sanctions, and what — let's close our eyes and say that Lukashenka suddenly became a much more acceptable leader or did something good, so we should lift these sanctions.? "

French President Emmanuel Macron invited Putin to prepare a draft UN Security Council resolution to free grain from blocked Ukrainian ports.
