China has successfully launched another manned mission to its new space station, sending three astronauts who will continue construction work for six months, the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) said, according to CNN..

The astronauts took off on the Shenzhou-14 spacecraft launched by a Long March 2F rocket at 10:44 local time.. The dispatch took place from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the Gobi Desert, Inner Mongolia.

The team will live and work in the Tianhe core module of the Tiangong space station for six months before returning to Earth in December.. Tiangong means Heavenly Palace.

The crew includes Chen Dong, Liu Yang, and Cai Xiuzhe, who are expected to arrive at the space station approximately 6.5 hours after the launch of the spacecraft..

Chen, the mission commander, was on board China's Shenzhou 11 manned space mission in 2016 and still broke the record for the most time in space by a Chinese astronaut. Liu became the first Chinese woman in space in 2012 during the Shenzhou 9 mission..

This is the third crewed mission in the construction of the space station, which China plans to fully man and accept launch before December 2022.. The first mission of a three-month stay in space by three other astronauts was completed in September 2021. During the second, Shenzhou-13, three astronauts spent six months in space.

This period is the standard mission duration for many countries, but it is important for Chinese astronauts to get used to long stays in space and to help prepare future astronauts for the same..

Six space missions are scheduled before the end of the year, including another crewed mission and two cargo missions..

Recall that the snow-covered Alps are turning green and the changes are already visible from space.
