About 8,000 vehicles of various prices, intended for transportation to Russia, remain in the Belgian port of Zeebrugge. Their transportation to the aggressor country is impossible due to EU economic sanctions.

The director of the Zeebrugge car terminal, Marc Adriansens, told the Wall Street Journal that the cars arrived in Belgium in early April and were subsequently to be shipped to the Russian market.. But due to the ban on luxury, which does not allow the export of cars worth more than 50 thousand euros to the Russian Federation, they remained in the port.

Adriansense also reported that among the blocked cars there are premium-class copies.. In particular, we are talking about the latest models of Lexus, Mercedes and Cadillac.. He stressed that he does not know for whom exactly these cars were originally intended, but the Belgian authorities do not exclude their sale in other markets.. In addition, a number of other goods still remain in the port of Zeebrugge, which were subject to sanctions.

Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation legalized the import of sanctioned goods in order to circumvent international economic restrictions..

Many global brands left the Russian market. However, there are also companies that do not want to leave the Russian market or leave without leaving. What is wrong with them, says Natalya Vlasyuk in the text “Do not understand and do not forgive”.
