Earlier, the WHO Regional Office for Europe said that the countries of the continent should consider the possibility of introducing compulsory vaccination against coronavirus.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced that the authorities decided to introduce mandatory vaccination against COVID-19 for Greeks over 60 years old. All Greeks aged 60+ must receive the first dose of the vaccine by January 16, otherwise they will have to pay an administrative fine of 100 euros every month.

The Austrian government has prepared a bill that provides for penalties for refusing to vaccinate against coronavirus. Compulsory Vaccination Ordinance in Austria comes into force on 1 February 2022.
