Heavy rains hit northern Afghanistan in Parwan province. The result was powerful landslides that descended on villages, destroyed more than 500 houses. People can still remain under the stones and ruins of buildings.

So far it is known about seventy dead and one hundred wounded. Survivors leave their homes in panic and huddle in tents. Tens of thousands were left homeless, food, medical assistance. An outbreak of intestinal infection began in the village. Kabul sends rescuers and humanitarian aid to victims.

Landslides are not uncommon in the mountainous regions of Afghanistan.

So during a landslide that occurred in May 2014 in Badakhshan, at least 300 residents of the village of Hobo Barik died, another 2,000 went missing. About 100 people died in Banglan province that same year.

And the downpours also resulted in floods in the east of the country.. About 500 houses have been severely damaged or washed away by streams of water. More than 120 people died in 12 provinces, more than 150 injured. Several people are reported missing.
