Pavel Klimkin and Martin Stropnitsky discussed the current situation in the Crimea and the Donbass during a telephone conversation.

The Czech Republic unconditionally supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Martin Stropnitsky during a telephone conversation with the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin, the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.

Diplomats discussed current situation in Crimea and Donbass.

"We are considering the illegal annexation of the Crimea as a serious violation of international law," stressed Stropnitsky.

Ministers discussed Ukraine's progress in implementing political and economic reforms, combating corruption and implementing the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.

Stropnitsky confirmed the readiness of the Czech Republic to continue to actively support reforms in Ukraine, especially as an international coordinator in the field of education. He also highly appreciated the stabilization of the situation in the Ukrainian economy, which may be of interest to Czech entrepreneurs and investors.

Earlier it was reported that, within the framework of official assistance, the Czech Republic would help Ukraine modernize the Kiev city blood center.



In the first round of presidential elections, which took place on January 12, in the Czech Republic, defeated incumbent President Milos Zeman. According to the calculation of 99.5% of the votes, he scored 38.6%. The second place was taken by the former head of the Czech Academy of Sciences Jiri Dragosh - he has 26.6%.

Thus, the second round of presidential elections will be held in the Czech Republic. The voting is scheduled for January 26 and 27.
