In Turkey, detained 20 people on suspicion of preparing a terrorist act

Detainees planned to commit an act of terrorism in Istanbul on New Year's Eve. In Turkey, members of the anti-terrorist police department in the course of special operations detained 20 people who are suspected of having links with the terrorist organization "Islamic State", reports Sabah. Among the detainees, 15 are citizens of other countries. The police believe that the detainees received instructions from the leadership of the IG in Syria and Iraq and prepared an attack during the New Year celebrations in Istanbul.

Media: An organizer of the exhibition was arrested in Ankara, where the Russian ambassador was killed. Earlier, more than 100 people were detained in Turkey in a week.
