Transparency: Almost every fourth inhabitant of the planet gave bribes

Record record was recorded in Yemen. Almost every fourth inhabitant of the planet gave bribes when applying for public services. This is stated in the report of the Barometer of Global Corruption of the international organization Transparency International. Thus, a record figure was recorded in Yemen - 77% of respondents admitted to corruption. Next come India (69%), Vietnam (65%), Mexico (51%), Egypt (50%), Sudan and Morocco (48%).

In Ukraine, there were 38%. In Russia - 34%. The most corrupt respondents named policemen and elected officials. This opinion is shared by 36% of all respondents. At the same time, 57% believe that their governments are struggling badly against corruption. In Ukraine, there are 86%. Recall previously reported that the vast majority of Ukrainians - 71.1% - in 2017 did not give bribes.
