Policemen from the department for the fight against organized crime conducted a special operation in Paris and the suburbs to detain members of a criminal community created by immigrants from the former USSR. This is reported by BFMTV. French special services "led" suspects for more than two years. As indicated in the message, the investigation was conducted with the assistance of the Georgian Embassy in France, Interpol and Europol. As a result, "35 people, including eight women" were in the hands of the special services, mostly Georgians, who participated in "robbery, extortion, human trafficking". During the searches, policemen seized 70,000 euros in cash, several pistols and cars.

Investigators also succeeded in uncovering the scheme of money laundering, which the attackers used: it involved a construction company. In addition to the French capital and suburbs, the operation was also conducted in southern Italy, in Calabria. "They [the suspects] are very mobile and have apartments not only in Paris, but also in Italy, Spain and Portugal," explained the source of the television channel.
