American Attaullah Malik (Attaullah Malik) found that his 10-year-old son can unlock the mother's iPhone X using Face ID, although initially the system was not set up to recognize his face. A video with a demonstration of the defense bypass, he posted on his YouTube channel. At the same time, the smartphone of Attauli the son can not be unlocked. Parents are afraid that because of this the child will be able to make purchases from his parents' smartphone, and also will read the correspondence. But they do not want to turn off Face ID. It is worth noting that during the presentation of technology, Apple warned that Face ID may not work correctly when used by children under 14 years of age.

Earlier, experts from the Vietnamese research company Bkav were able to create a mask, through which it was possible to crack the Face ID protection system in the iPhone X. It consists of a printed 3D model of the face with glued photos of the eyes and lips, and also with a silicone nose. The process of creating a mask took them a lot of time and costs were $ 150 (excluding the cost of a 3D printer).
