The pre-election headquarters of former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton actually controlled the work of the National Committee of the Democratic Party (NCDP) even before it was nominated by the official Democratic candidate in the summer of 2016. This was told by acting chairman of the NCDP Donna Brasil in his book, reports Politico. According to her, the Clinton team was actively looking for ways to promote Clinton, as well as to prevent her main rival from among single party members - Bernie Sanders, trying to discredit him. Brazil claims that she has documents confirming her rightness. So, back in August 2015, the NCCD, Hillary Clinton's headquarters and the Clinton joint election campaign and the committee signed an agreement. According to the document, the team of the former secretary of state sponsored the NKD, in return gaining control over the party's finances, its strategy and the money it collects. The woman said that the Democratic Party had a big debt, which Hillary Clinton's staff helped pay off. Thus, the party actually went under the control of the campaign of the former Secretary of State, as repeatedly stated in the Sanders camp.

The American argues that Clinton's headquarters also used the Democratic Party to raise funds. According to US law, direct donations to candidates can not exceed $ 2,700. However, branch offices in different states and national committees can accept large sums. The book by Donna Brasil "Hacking: history and interventions, and failures that led Donald Trump to the White House" will be published on November 7.
