In Chita, police detained a candidate for City Duma deputies Sergei Korolkov allegedly because he was at a polling station. This is reported by Zabmedia on Sunday, September 10. According to Korolkov, law enforcers informed him that the candidate can not be present at the polling station. "This is some kind of nonsense. I was explained and released. Now I'm in the office, but soon again I'll go to the site, "he said.. In the regional election commission, the publication was informed that the law does not prohibit candidates from being on sites.

Korolkov participates in the by-election to the Chita pride in the October Okrug. On a single voting day, September 10, elections are held in almost all regions of Russia except for Ingushetia, Magadan Oblast and St. Petersburg. In 16 subjects governors are elected, in another six deputies of regional parliaments. On Sunday, there are 5.8 thousand elections of different levels, the number of candidates exceeds 88 thousand.
