Putin instructed to study the cases of denial in the Crimea in the citizenship of Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to analyze the cases of refusal to grant Russian citizenship to persons residing in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. This is reported on the Kremlin website. The Russian government, together with the administration of the president, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, executive authorities of the two Crimean regions with the participation of the Supreme Court of Russia. In this connection, the President set the task to take measures aimed at excluding cases of unjustified refusal to grant Russian citizenship, "observance of the terms for examining applications and making decisions on them established by the legislation of the Russian Federation".

The president approved the list of instructions on the results of his working trip to Sevastopol on August 18-20, 2017. In the list, in particular, is the provision in 2018-2020 of the federal budget of financial assistance to Sevastopol, ensuring the further development of the museum-reserve "Chersonese Tavricheskiy", calculating the length of service for Crimean residents, taking into account their service in the Ukrainian law enforcement agencies.
