The Russian car market grew by 10 percent in five months

At the end of five months, the volume of the Russian market of new cars increased by 10.2 percent compared to the previous year. A total of 520 thousand cars were sold. On Thursday, July 6, the analytical agency "Autostat". The largest regional markets are Moscow and the Moscow region - they account for 23.7 percent of the market. At the same time, the Moscow market declined by 3.1 percent in five months, to 80,000 cars. The car market of the Moscow region, on the contrary, added 15.6% - 43 thousand cars. Closes the top three leaders of St. Petersburg - there were sold 36.5 thousand vehicles (plus 11 percent). Among non-capital regions, Tatarstan leads - 25.5 thousand cars, plus 19 percent. In the fifth place Bashkortostan - 19 thousand cars, plus 22.5 percent. Then comes the Krasnodar Territory - 19 thousand vehicles; Samara, Sverdlovsk, Rostov and Nizhny Novgorod regions - their result varies from 14 to 17 thousand cars.

Negative dynamics persists in 16 regions - the lowest drop was recorded in the Khabarovsk Territory (minus 0.3 percent), the largest in Chechnya (minus 36 percent). April 10, it became known that quarterly sales of cars in Russia increased for the first time in four years. According to the Chairman of the AEB Automobile Manufacturers Committee, Jorg Schreiber, the Russian car market "is moving in the right direction".
