In Germany, police detained a 30-year-old resident of Rostock (the federal state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania), suspected of planning crimes during the G20 summit. This is reported by The Local with reference to local law enforcement agencies. In addition, law enforcement officers found containers filled with flammable liquid, chemicals, pyrotechnics, throwing knives, knuckles and baseball bats. During the police operation, a 26-year-old man was also detained, who was subsequently released. The suspect will remain in custody until July 10. He faces charges of illegal possession of weapons and explosives. As specified by Bild, the detainee is a member of the left-wing radical grouping.
