YouTube channel BBC Earth published a video that shows how the spider Caerostris darwini creates multi-meter "bridges" from the web. The video was attracted by the publication Gizmodo. This type of spider is capable of producing a long thread, which is picked up by the wind and stretches for 20-25 meters. Despite its giant dimensions, the web is strong enough to support the weight of C. Darwini, which uses it to create large trap networks. Fiber, in its ability to deform without breaking integrity, surpasses the cobwebs allocated by other arthropods.
