Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau said that it is too early to talk about abolishing the visa regime for trips of Ukrainian citizens to Canada.
This is reported by "Ukrinform".
"We look forward to a constructive conversation in the future about a visa-free regime with Ukraine, but so far this is not the case," - said the Prime Minister of Canada.
According to him, this issue often arises in discussions of different levels between representatives of the two countries.
"We have a reliable and detailed system with clear indicators that must be achieved to start considering the issue of visa-free travel," said Trudeau.
He also stressed that Canada is trying to otherwise support "friends in Ukraine" in a difficult time.
"We work together to strengthen institutions, build a civil society, reform the judiciary and law enforcement systems, and fight corruption. We are glad to work with Ukraine in these areas, "- concluded Trudeau.
As reported by the "Observer", thanks to the visa-free travel with the EU, the passport of Ukraine has risen in the ranking of the most influential.
