731 Turkish soldiers from the infantry brigade, located in Manisa in the west of the country, was hospitalized because of severe food poisoning. This is reported by the publication Hurriyet. On sickness, brigade servicemen complained on Saturday, June 17. Samples of food from the part are sent for examination. As part of the investigation into this incident, 21 people were taken into custody from a company that delivers food to the armed forces. As the newspaper notes, in May in this part several hundreds of servicemen were already hospitalized with food poisoning.

In July 2016, it was reported on the mass poisoning of Ukrainian servicemen in the training center of the Armed Forces of the country (APU) Desna in the Chernihiv region. The command of the APU named the reason for this incident that the products in part were stored in violation of the temperature regime. In particular, according to him, in the pate for suhpayk, he said, the excess of the norm of the content of bacteria of yeasts and molds was established 2.5 times and pathogenic bacteria of staphylococcus.
