As a result of the fire in the high-rise apartment building of the Grenfell Tower in London, there have been missing and allegedly killed at least 58 people.

This was stated by the head of the Metropolitan Police Stuart Cundi, reports BBC.

The last figure also includes 30 dead, reported by the authorities earlier.

Kundi believes that the number "may still increase", since work on the spot is likely to take weeks.

"As soon as we can, we will notify relatives," he added..

Kundi asked everyone who managed to escape from the building, to notify the authorities that they are safe.

As reported by the "Observer", a fire in a high-rise building in London broke out before dawn on Wednesday, June 14, when most of the tenants of the house were still in bed. According to local authorities, in the building at the time of the fire there were up to 600 people.
