On Friday, June 16, ex-Chancellor of Germany Helmut Kohl died in Germany.

Kolya was 87 years old.

It is noted that the former Chancellor of Germany died at home in Ludwigshafen.

From 1969 to 1976 Kohl served as Prime Minister of the Rhineland-Palatinate. From 1973 to 1998, he headed the Christian Democratic Union.



In 1982-1998, Kohl was Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany. In his leadership in 1990, the union of the FRG and the GDR. Kohl is the only politician who led the government for four consecutive terms.
