Ducks and girls: photos and video of detentions appeared at rallies in Russia

In Moscow and St. Petersburg, the rallies initiated by the Russian opposition are accompanied by mass detentions.

According to local media reports, the siloviki against the opposition are acting harshly, at random they snatch people out of the crowd and beat detainees.

Dozhd television channel reports that 400 people were detained in Moscow alone. In St. Petersburg, the number of detainees exceeded one hundred.

The majority of detained supporters of the oppositionist Alexei Navalny - youth.

The network is spreading new eyewitness accounts.

In particular, opposition politician Mikhail Khodorkovsky published a video, as "OMON congratulates fellow citizens on the Day of Russia with blows of clubs".

The @meduzaproject account also posted a video of detentions.



In Twitter, they showed a photo of the Moscow police's detention of "especially dangerous criminals," most of them youth and adolescents.

Let's notice, that the police detained not only oppositionists. In St. Petersburg, law enforcement officers detained a large inflatable duck, which brought with them the rally participants.
